Natures Dichotomy

And although it is slightly overcast today, the weather doesn’t diminish the beauty of Lake Pine, as two Mallards swiftly fly by quacking as ducks do, and a Mourning Dove coos its love call somewhere in the distance.

The peace and serenity of this lovely place cloaks the inevitable unpleasant outcomes of the many aged human inhabitants. People come and people go, but the beauty always remains.

Why is nature so beautiful, yet, at the same time, so punishing? Is it true that perhaps the beauty would not exist unless the ugliness did too? A dichotomy! A paradox!

And so I look in awe at my surroundings and wonder when it will be my turn to be an example of the sharp contrast of nature’s control.

But now my thoughts turn back toward my work. My concentration no longer of future or present events, only of the thinking needed to complete my tasks with my computer, as I thank nature for creating the intelligence of the people who have created my tool.
